BASIC Leverages the OEM product line for use in Industrial markets. EXM components are utilized with industrial enclosures and power supplies to run the monitor, valve, and electronics. The system comes with one Can bus/Power cable that is 130′ long. This is the max length of a Can Bus.
Good system for firefighting or basic washdown applications that do not require recipes. Each monitor is a stand-alone system. No networking capability is available.
One end has a plug for the monitor and the other has a plug for the valve.
The installer will cut this cable into three pieces – one for connecting the monitor to the MCP, one to connect the valve to the Valve JB, and the last piece connects the MCP to the VJB.
WASHDOWN Forms the basis of the Elkhart Brass washdown system. Each monitor requires a simple MCP that contains a power supply, a Bridgeway, and a network switch that enables connection via Cat 5e or Multimode Fiber Optic cable in a LINEAR network.
Monitor functions are controlled by the Hydroblast II Control Console which includes a small HMI screen and can store and run recipes for up to 8 monitors.
Since all monitor function is controlled by a single PLC, there is a single point of failure; therefore, this system is not intended for life safety applications.
NOTE: Standard Cobra and Sidewinder monitors could be used with this system. The Hydroblast monitor has more accurate sensors which are required for precise washdown applications.
INTERMEDIATE Leverages the OEM product line for use in an industrial market. Offers features that industrial customers may prefer. MCP contains the Elkhart Brass 7073X2 Interface module that takes input from Industrial Switches and Pushbuttons on the door of the enclosure.
To add flexibility, customers can choose the INTERMEDIATE MCP + RF option. This panel contains an integral Hetronic radio receiver that is controlled by a Belly Pack Transmitter.
Each transmitter can control up to 24 monitors, providing a flexible control option for facilities with multiple monitors.
PREMIUM The PREMIUM MCP has a set of operator controls on the door of the enclosure and contains a Compact Logix PLC which adds greater control over the oscillation function (Intelligent Oscillation) as well as the option for automatic response from an external trigger.
This system also leverages the OEM product line for use in an industrial market, but offers features that industrial customers may prefer. The panel also includes a Red Lion Network switch which allows it to be connected to a Control Room Console via Cat 5e Ethernet cable or Multimode Fiber in a LINEAR network.
For greater flexibility and portability of control, the PREMIUM MCP + RF adds a Hetronic Radio Receiver to the control panel. This is paired with a HetronicBelly Pack Transmitter that can control up to 24 individual monitors. Several Control Room Console options can be used with the PREMIUM MCP controls.
Basic CRC offers control of basic monitor functions for up to four B9 A selector switch selects which monitor is being controlled by the single set of buttons and switches. Standard CRC can also control up to four monitors, but replaces the physical switches and buttons found on the Basic CRC with a touch screen HMI. In addition to basic monitor control, this screen allows the user to easily program the oscillation and automatic response functions.
DELUXE This system blends the size and affordability of EXM monitors while harnessing the power and features of the Elkhart Brass ERCM controls customers have come to depend upon. It was designed to seamlessly integrate with existing Spit-Fire ERCM systems as well as new installations.
DELUXE MCP builds on the features of the PREMIUM MCP and adds the following features: One or Two relay circuits to provide discreet control of traditional industrial valves (MOV or Solenoid) or other auxiliary equipment such as pumps.
Device Level Ring (DLR) networking capability. This allows the control panels to be networked to a Control Room Console in a redundant ring that automatically reroutes traffic to maintain uninterrupted communication if any segment is broken.
The Premium HMI has functionality that can identify any breaks in the ring and alert users to the location of the faulty segment. Optional control of an Elkhart Brass Industrial Extender which allows a monitor to be stowed out of the way until it is needed.”
